Listening Blog #10 - Week 11/29

For this weeks blog I decided to talk about the iconic song Fuck The Police by N.W.A. Now if you don’t like the word fuck don’t read this blog. This song was and still is a banger and is still relevant as hell in today's society. This song was controversial and made a lot of people mad but they were using music to express how they felt. This beat of this song is so good and the added commentary throughout the song makes it 10x better. I love the way they simply went in on this song and did not care about the consequences of the lyrics. Basically to summarize up these lyrics they are talking about how cops racially profile black people so it’s a message to them which is simply...fuck the police. The feelings in this song is clearly anger, we can tell that they're all so fed up with how they are being treated and took it out in the studio. The rapping and beat flow perfectly together and compliment each other perfectly. Clearly the target audience is black people fed up with the police racially profiling them and the constant racial injustices happening. This song is amazing and deserves all the hype because yeah fuck the police <3
